How to Clean Your Stainless Steel Tea Kettle
A stainless steel tea kettle is great, there's no doubt about it. And while these types of kettles typically are very resistant to dirt, they do need to be cleaned at times, and so, we've got the tips here for you to make sure you keep your stainless steel tea kettle in the best possible shape.
The problem that often occurs is that lime deposits will build up at the bottom of the stainless steel tea kettle. These deposits can leave a lingering mineral taste in your drinks and is often rather unpleasant to look at. The good news is that it's relatively easy to clean your tea kettle to remove these unsightly additions.
To clean your stainless steel tea kettle, first pour half a cup of distilled white vinegar into the kettle and then add water. Heat the tea kettle up until it reaches boiling, and then turn off the heat/unplug the kettle and let it sit.
After waiting an hour, fill it with a mixture of half water/half vinegar and reheat the pot. Once again, once the stainless steel tea kettle begins to boil, remove it from its heat source and let it sit overnight. The next day, it is important to rinse the kettle with cold water several times to remove the smell of vinegar.
The outside of the tea kettle can be cleaned using any scouring powders that are scratch free. This should be able to remove any visible outside stains and help keep your stainless steel tea kettle in great shape.
